ASC Alpha Series Pre-Cut Panel Line

Modern panel manufacturers need equipment that can produce more than one product. Customer demands change, product mixes evolve, and manufacturers need the flexibility to switch between products without investing in multiple dedicated machines.

ASC Machine Tools developed the Alpha Series Pre-Cut Panel Line to provide that flexibility in one integrated production system.

The Alpha Series combines slitting, pre-cutting, conveying, and rollforming capabilities to produce:

Slit Trim. Flat Sheets. One or Two Panel Profiles.

Depending on the line configuration, the Alpha Series can produce one or two different panel profiles, while also providing the ability to produce slit trim and flat sheets on the same machine.

A Flexible 3-in-1 Production Concept

The Alpha Series is designed around a unique front-end configuration that allows the same machine to perform multiple production functions.

The front end features both a Slitting Pass and Pre-Cut Shear, followed by a height-adjustable conveyor.

For panel production, the conveyor is positioned at the required height to feed pre-cut material into the rollforming section.

When producing flat sheets or slit trim, the conveyor can be lowered, allowing the material to run onto a flat-belt conveyor integrated into the rollformer base, bypassing the rollforming section.

This design provides three production capabilities on one machine, with the panel-forming section configured for either one or two panel profiles.

Slit Trim Production

The Alpha Series can produce slit trim directly from coil.

Material passes through the Slitting Pass, where the coil is slit to the required width. The height-adjustable conveyor is lowered, allowing the slit material to travel onto the flat-belt conveyor located on the rollformer base.

This provides an efficient way to produce slit material without requiring a separate slitting line.

Flat-Sheet Production

The Alpha Series can also produce flat sheets.

The Pre-Cut Shear cuts the material to the required length. The conveyor is lowered, and the cut sheets are transferred onto the integrated flat-belt conveyor.

The result is a complete flat-sheet production process using the same front end as the panel line.

One or Two Panel Profiles

The rollforming section can be configured according to the manufacturer's production requirements.

Depending on the line configuration, the Alpha Series can produce one or two panel profiles.

This gives manufacturers the ability to select a configuration that matches their product mix. A Single Height configuration can be optimized around one high-volume panel product, while a Dual Height configuration provides additional flexibility for manufacturers producing multiple panel designs.
