CNC-500
The CNC-500 is a powerful controller that brings speed, accuracy and versatility to a wide range of roll forming applications.
The CNC-500 can be configured to control feed-to-stop (punching) systems, break and hump systems, or flying cutoff die accelerators. An easy-to-use operator interface, combined with flexible modes of operation and superior closed-loop positioning control, make the CNC-500 an excellent choice for any roll forming operation.
Features
Versatility
The system is designed to handle AC or DC servo and inverter drives, as well as hydraulic
servo motors in a wide variety of applications. The system can also provide material
handling, staging, positioning, and other operations which require repeatability,
precision and intelligent control.
Ease of Use
The CNC-500 has an easy-to-learn user interface and large, readable
display screen. After using the CNC-500, an operator can readily move from machine to
machine without extensive retraining. This operator flexibility can allow a shop to expand
production without adding more personnel.
Data Handling
The CNC-500 is designed to communicate with host computer systems through an RS-232 port.
A second RS-232 port allows the CNC-500 to communicate with a part maker or other device.
A standard printer port is also available for printing packing lists, bundle tags or
inventory labels.
SOFTWARE
Feed-to-Stop
Feed-to-stop software is used for punching operations at programmed feed distances. This
system is generally used for fabricating purlins, girts, eaves, struts, flanges,
underfloor wire raceways, and stiffeners.
Brake and Hump™
When pre-cutting panels to length before roll forming, brake and hump™ software can be
utilized with the CNC-500. Applicable to light gauge panel and roofing equipment, this
system eliminates the need for a long, pre-cut sheet conveyor leading into the roll
former.
Flying Cutoff
Flying cutoff software for the CNC-500 is used in connection with a
die accelerator for post-cutting panels to length without stopping the line. The system is
appropriate for light to heavy gauge panel and decking equipment.
