With hundreds of ASC Vertical Tab Uncoilers currently in service all over the world, we feel confident in saying that it's the most durable product of its kind. Fully self-contained and electronically controlled, it features separate inner loop control systems and outer loop with independent speed control for both the turntable and tugger. This means exceptionally smooth payoff throughout the full range of the coil diameters. A centering disk is utilized to help initial positioning of the coil stack and helps to prevent small diameter coils from shifting during operation.

The flange mounted gear motor is located on the turntable drive to provide an integral mesh between the pinion gear and the large diameter thrust bearing. The thrust bearing is also located on the turntable drive and requires no outboard supports.

Quality From the Ground Up
From the ground up, the ASC Vertical Tab Uncoiler sets the industry standard for quality, durability and innovation. For example, anodized aluminum transition rolls and guide spools provide longer life than traditional plastic spools. Fully adjustable transition rolls make for simple tracking control. ASC has included a centering disk and located the tugger head at eye level to facilitate operator safety as well as ease of use and maintenance. A "take down" mast assembly means easier and less costly shipping and set up.

Other ASC innovations include a versatile bi-directional coil feed capability, a jog pendant for easy coil loading and noncontacting analog proximity sensors for loop control and longer sensor life. A powered up/down boom means no manual lifting and the non-skid turntable finish reduces load slippage.

Design Innovation
ASC has designed the AC Inverter Drive and large coil photoeye to ensure smooth payoff throughout the range of the coil diameter. A unique centralized lubrication system has been incorporated for ease of maintenance and long life. Available in both left and right hand models, it's rugged construction and durability make it the finest product of its kind available.
