ASC currently has more Vertical Shell Press Uncoilers feeding high-speed narrow shell presses than all our competitors combined. That's because it's the finest and most dependable product of its kind. ASC's proven "S-Loop" design and accumulator assembly provide maximum loop control in a minimum space. The self-threading assembly is close coupled to the press and there is no external loop to be afflicted by cyclical press feeds.

The flange mounted gear motor is located on the turntable drive to provide an integral mesh between the pinion gear and the large diameter thrust bearing. The large diameter thrust bearing is also located on the turntable drive and requires no outboard supports.

For example, the anodized aluminum transition rolls and guide spools provide longer life than traditional plastic spools. The unique central lubrication system increases component life and facilitates ease of maintenance. Transition rolls are fully adjustable for simple, positive tracking control. A "take down" mast assembly means easier and less costly shipping and set up. Available in both left and right-hand models, its rugged construction and durability make it the finest product of its kind.

The ASC Smartloop Control System requires no operator adjustments. It's self-adjusting and automatically compensates for a wide range of press speeds and coil sizes. Since this system is 100% electronic, there are no moving parts.

Additional ASC features include a jog pendant for easy coil loading and a versatile bi-directional coil feed capability. An AC Inverter Drive assures smooth payoff throughout the range of coil diameter.

Operator Safety is a Primary Concern
The Vertical Shell Uncoiler provides a variety of safety features. A centering disc and "coil off center" sensor maximize operator safety. A powered up/down boom means no manual lifting and a nonskid turntable finish reduces load slippage.
