ASC engineers have designed the Instrument Stands to be one of the most precise and sensitive inspection systems in the can industry. This system features a convenient removable stock support bridge for quick changeover from steel to aluminum. ASC can also design custom Instrument Stand configurations to suit specific customer requirements with a variety of weld detection, punch-hole detection, pinhole detection and thickness monitoring combinations available.

Unmatched Sensitivity
The ASC Instrument Stand, designed for coil inspection, offers superior weld detection capabilities, providing color change detection, thickness detection and punch-hole detection to .0625 inch (1.5875mm). The system’s thickness gauge will monitor materials from .005 inch minimum to .032 inch maximum (.1270mm to .8128mm), at a resolution of + or- .0001 inch (.00254mm). The Instrument Stand also provides unmatched material pinhole detection, with the sensitivity to detect holes as small as .001 inches (.0254mm) in diameter.
