Built to Handle the Heaviest Coil
ASC Coil Downenders have been the industry choice for over 30 years as the safest, most efficient method of handling coils.

Designed to transfer banded palletized coils ("eye to the sky") to a horizontal position for coil car retrieval, ASC Downenders are designed for many years of continuous in-plant service.

Two styles of downenders are offered as part of an integrated coil handling system. The in-line downender is located in-line with the coil car track and designed to service a single uncoiler.

The perpendicular model is located at 90° to the coil car track and is intended for dual uncoiler service. This model is equipped with an integral track weldment and has lateral translation capabilities.

Unmatched Features
The ASC Coil Downender safely downends palletized coils for coil car loading to eliminate coil damage during handling. Counterbalance valves are mounted directly on the cylinders for increased safety in the event of a power loss. Hardwood cradle planks are utilized on coil contact surfaces and high-quality DIN solenoid connectors are used to facilitate trouble shooting and minimize downtime.

Efficient, Self-Contained Power Unit
ASC Downenders feature an isolated, self-contained, on-demand hydraulic power unit that will not affect associated equipment. The low pressure hydraulic system maximizes equipment life. All hydraulic components are manifold mounted for easy access and trouble shooting. This adds up to less maintenance and significantly lower energy consumption.
